I’m selling this “newbie friendly” site on flippa currently.
DailyFreeware.net is a well established 8 year old blog about.. yes you guessed it, freeware!
It has thousands of unique posts and makes some adsense revenue, although it hasn’t been updated for a few months now. It’s also a PR3.
As it’s built on wordpress, without any complicated plugins, it’s fairly easy to run. Freeware is also a topic that everybody likes, it’s easy to promote and easy to update. Even if you’re not very tech savvy you can easily find a bunch of other freeware relate site tracking new releases or apps and make short posts about them, or more in depth reviews to try to attract more visitors to the site.
Coincidentially I had another freeware related site that I sold a few years ago and the buyer was very happy about it:
Extremely helpful – and the site was exactly as advertised, very trustworthy seller.
Website sold for $3,900
What are the possible monetization options with a freeware site? Adsense is one, but what other ways could the site be monetized?
Adsense is one, but also as with any other blog sponsored posts can do quite well. Many major software companies have freeware versions of their products that they’d pay to advertise.
Hello! Do you know if they make any plugins to help with Search Engine Optimization? I’m
trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very
good results. If you know of any please share.
Cheers!
