New LLLL.com PriceGuide by Reece

New LLLL.com PriceGuide by Reece is out

 As can be seen, prices have stabilized and are no longer fluctuating significantly in either direction, which is a good indicator of a healthy market long term. Lately, there have been far more lower quality LLLL.com sales than there have been higher quality LLLL.com sales, so I’ve been forced to remove the upper percentiles to avoid giving major confusion to what higher quality premium and pronounceable LLLL.coms go for.
The quad premium market continues to perform abysmally, while the pronounceable and rare markets seem to have stabilized, much like the low end. Min wholesale on quad premiums is approximately $330, identical to what was reported in the previous 4 Letter Noob update, however prices nearing the minimum appear to be occuring considerably more frequently.

LLLL.com - A Temporary Slowdown Due to Market Correction

Posted in LLLL.com, Opinions, Tips on March 7th, 2008 by Michael – 2 Comments

New LLLL.com price guide is out by Reece and we can see that prices have slowed a bit:

Data derived from TDVR.com, the largest LLLL.com database. Numbers in parentheses reflect Feb 17, 2008 statistics. Current prices reflect the results of the 500 most recent reported LLLL.com sales within the Feb 25, 2008 through Mar 5, 2008 timeframe.

*Minimum Wholesale : $48.00 ($52.00) -> 8%

10th percentile: $59.00 ($60.00) -> 2%

25th percentile: $65.00 ($67.00) -> 3%

Median: $85.00 ($81.00) -> 5%

75th percentile: $126.00 ($150.00) -> 16%

90th percentile: $400.00 ($445.00) -> 10%

How did this happen, what are the reasons and will the prices keep growing in future?

New LLLL.com Price Guide is Out

Posted in LLLL.com, News on February 20th, 2008 by Michael – 2 Comments

New LLLL.com Price Guide is Out on 4letternoob blog by Reece.

Quad premiums had the highest increase in prices, which was only expected as they are the most desirable of all 4 letters.

Triple premiums with Z and other letters seem to be the real bargain at these prices. They are not too ugly and can have decent end user potential. If I find any at $75 a piece I’d buy them all! If you can get your hands on some triple premiums with K for $120 that would be a major bargain too.

According to the guide minimum prices are up to about $55 for the worst “anti-premium” type of LLLL’s, which sounds fair. The regular U+X, or Z+U type of domains which are being sold a lot around these days are worth about $65-70. Like xpru.com, xptu.com, zlhu.com. That would be a good price for them as well.

Triple premiums with Y,V and J aren’t that desirable and it’s strange to see them priced higher than K triples. But the guide is based on the actual sales data.. you can’t argue with the market.

Please note that the guide only refers to letter quality and disregards the other important characteristics as letter patters: CVCV, VCVC, CVVC, VCCV; number of vowels, for example domains with 3 vowels are usually worth $150 and up for the worst letters and 4 vowels would make it to $250 and up.

Recent LLLL.com Sales Compilation - 1

Posted in Auctions, LLLL.com, News, Pool, SnapNames, eBay on February 18th, 2008 by Michael – 2 Comments

Recent LLLL.com sales compilation here from last 2 days, to keep you up to date with the current prices.

eBay mostly has low priced LLLL’s and the prices seem good for buyers. At other venues prices are pretty much the same. You can still find some bargains mostly on forums here and there, but these get sold very fast.

Quad premiums seem be perceived as the most safe investment and if you can find one for under $400 grab it quick! Minimum price for quad premium LLLL.com now getting close to $500 and is believed to achieve $1000 by the end of the year.

Also notable that triple premium LLLL.com’s - that have 3 premium letters and one not premium are selling for prices very similar to the crappy4L’s. They are pretty cheap and names with decent letters can have good end user potential and are very likely to grow the highest in price.

I think triple premiums and quad premiums are among the best investments now.

Pronounceable LLLL.com’s are also very desired, also imho they are less liquid and usually sell for higher prices.
