‘LLLL.com’ Goes for $7900 on Sedo

Posted in LLLL.com on October 3rd, 2008 by Michael – 3 Comments

The domain LLLL.com recently sold on sedo for $7900.

This is undoubtedly one of the best of 4 letter domains and a perfect one to make a site on the industry news and sales.

The previous owner VURG planned to do so, but eventually decided to sell the domain.

The new buyer is Reece, the owner of BQB.com, so we should expect to see www.LLLL.com developed soon!

VURG started LLLL.com

Posted in LLLL.com, News on July 7th, 2008 by Michael – 2 Comments

www.LLLL.com is the new 4 letter domain portal by VURG, Philip O’Neil:

I have been a big supporter of Namepros in the past couple of years and try to devote some time to helping other members with their domain collections. I love the forums policy of keeping everything free. I expect big things to happen through Namepros in the future. I go by the name VURG and am also involved in other forums with that username including DNForum, DomainState and DNLodge. Online many people call me Vurg, not Phil. (Vurg.com was the first 4 letter domain that I bought.) I also spent a couple of years selling online through the name LessThan96 on eBay, LessThan96.com and LT96.com.

In May 2008, I aquired the domain LLLL.com with the view of using this domain to educate people on LLLL.com (4 letter domains) and provide services. I am currently using this name for blogging but with time plan on improving the domain with other services. This site is all about LLLL.com and so browse around for more info on 4 letter domains.

The site currently has a few interesting articles on LLLL.com domains, chosen sales history and links to auctions. More to come so add the name to your bookmarks.

Interview With rjs_essex by DomainMagnate

Posted in Interviews on June 7th, 2008 by Michael – 4 Comments

DomainMagnate.com presents an interview with Rich from Quad Letter Domains

- Name, age, location?
Richard Shorten, 25, United Kingdom

- What are your top 3 domains?
I have lots of names spread across many different niches and lately have focussed heavily on quad letter domains so its difficult to single out specifics…

- Username on main domaining forums?
My username is rjs_essex and I frequently visit Namepros and am a moderator on AcornDomains.co.uk. Such a boring handle, my initials and county in the UK but I guess if I change it now no one would recognise me or know who I was!

- How long have you been into domaining and how did you get into it?
I’ve been in the domain business for about 4 years now. I started out buying a domain to host a website for a small business idea I had – starting up as an on call IT technician for the private sector. If I had had the time I would probably still be doing it but it never really took off. I started looking around the web for ideas and was also inspired by a family member who started out in domaining back in 2000. read more »

OOOM.com + BBBD.com + NNNM.com For $5500

Posted in For sale, LLLL.com on May 7th, 2008 by Michael – 1 Comment

This weeks bargain on DomainMagnate.com:

 OOOM.com + BBBD.com + NNNM.com For $5500

- Post sold in the comments to claim the domains
- payment accepted only by escrow.com or direct wire, buyer pays all fees.

This is a very solid investment and a great addition to any domain portfolio. Especially now when the prices for LLLL.com’s had dropped a bit.

4 letter domains like these with 3 repeating premium letters represent one of the most rare LLLL types and are a great collection item which value will only go up.

The Hidden Potential of CVCV.com

visa_logo.jpgThis posts discusses the unique potential of the top quality CVCV.com names and provides valuable tips and updates on where to get them at bargain prices.

LLLL.com remains the most frequently traded type of domains between domainers on the forums and it’s thus important to know the prices and be aware of the market trends and potential.

High end 4L.com’s names, mostly cvcv.com had the highest increase as of lately and it’s not surprising. There are only 2500 quad premium (e.g. only containing the premium letters: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, O, P, R, S, T) CVCV.com domains (consonant, vowel, consonant, vowel, e.g. topa.com, dola.com, nama.com etc.). Out of these names containing H and F are lesser quality. Another 2100 cvcv domains consist of the above letters and one of: U, K; which are considered the best of the non premium letters. And add to these another 1500 domains including V, or W and some of the above mentioned letters. In my opinion these 2500+2100+1500 = 6100 names are the top of the creme 4 letter domains. Other letters: Z,X,Y,J,Q are usually harder to make a brand of and are less attractive to a western, English speaking person. read more »

Premium NNNNN.com’s - 1471 domains left

Posted in Buyouts, Lists, NNNNN.com on February 9th, 2008 by Michael – 4 Comments

In total there are about 17.5K NNNNN.com domains left out of 100K. Couple thousands of them were registered in last several days by a few investors.

Numeric domains represent one of the safest and most profitable investments in the market currently due to their limited quantity, compared to letter domains and many possible meanings in different cultures and countries: phone numbers, zip codes, lucky numbers, dialing codes, license plates etc.

Not all digits are equal, some digits are considered better than other, according to 3character.com price guide:

1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 are considered premium numbers. Other lesser high quality numbers include: 4 and 6. Lower quality numbers include the number 0. 3

Recent scan of all premium NNNNN.com’s, consisting only digits: 1,2,3,5,7,9 shows
that 1471 domains are available out of 7,776.
