From:    “ICANN” <icann@icannresolve.com>

Dear Domain Account Holder,

You are being sent this notice from ICANN due to the fact that you
currently own an active domain name. ICANN is currently upgrading all
domains from their registry database.

The upgrade will introduce new control options for your domain and
easier
access. The new upgrade is required by the registry. All domain users
are
expected to submit their domain information manually at
http://www.icannresolve.com/email/link.php?M=821&N=5&L=1&F=T with the
required information for ICANN to apply the required updates. read more »

TrafficZ to Buy DomainTools

Posted in News on April 24th, 2008 by Michael – 4 Comments

DomainNamenews reports:

As heard by our staff at the DomainRoundtable conference in San Francisco this week, it is rumored that TrafficZ (or it’s parent company Thought Convergence) is buying NameIntelligence, the parent company of the DomainTools.com website and organizer of the DomainRoundtable conference. The price is said to be 16-18 million USD. TrafficZ also is one of the main sponsors of the Targeted T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference & expo.

DomainTools are widely popular among domainers and I’m also a subscriber mostly for their domain history feature. Such an acquisition would definitely bring many new customers to Trafficz parking and is a great investment imo.

There is a discussion about the news on DNF

Bill Gates #3 – Forbes Billionaires

Posted in Microsoft, News, Opinions on March 6th, 2008 by Michael – 1 Comment

billion_dollars.jpg

Forbes.com just released a new billionaires list and Bill Gates is only #3 with $58.0 billions!

Top two positions are taken by Warren Buffett and Carlos Slim Helu & family with 62 and 60 bln respectively.

See the full list here

It’s interesting to note that among top 8 billionaires there are 4 Indians and only 2 Americans. Roman Abramovich, the owner of London Chelsea, is no longer the richest man in Russia, Oleg Deripaska is #9, who is also the youngest in the top 25. Google founders Sergey and Larry are down to positions 32 and 33.

According to Forbes there are currently 1062 billionaires in the world.
