Don’t Sell LLLL.com’s on Sedo!

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

Don’t sell quad premium 4l.com’s and quad premium 4l.com’s with 3 repeating letters on Sedo! Strangely enough the prices on sedo no reserve auctions for these don’t reach near the levels that people  are ready to pay for them on domaining forums.

That said, it’s true sedo has some good deals lately, if you’re planning to grab a few good LLLL.com’s go buy some there.

A quick comparison: DDDB.com is now taking offers on DNF, as of now the highest offer is $1500, a few similar and even domains ended considerably lower on sedo:

SSSA.com $1,108.00 05/02/2008 Sedo
dddf.com $905.00 04/23/2008 Sedo

New LLLL.com PriceGuide by Reece

Monday, May 19th, 2008

New LLLL.com PriceGuide by Reece is out

As can be seen, prices have stabilized and are no longer fluctuating significantly in either direction, which is a good indicator of a healthy market long term. Lately, there have been far more lower quality LLLL.com sales than there have been higher quality LLLL.com sales, so I’ve been forced to remove the upper percentiles to avoid giving major confusion to what higher quality premium and pronounceable LLLL.coms go for.
The quad premium market continues to perform abysmally, while the pronounceable and rare markets seem to have stabilized, much like the low end. Min wholesale on quad premiums is approximately $330, identical to what was reported in the previous 4 Letter Noob update, however prices nearing the minimum appear to be occuring considerably more frequently.

DATO.com on Sedo Closing NOW

DATO.com

- 70 Million google results
- Means “Data” in Spanish - one of the most valuable keywords
- DataRecovery.com recently sold for $1.7 MILLION!
- VINO.com was on GreatDomains auction last month and bidding went up to $66K

Bid here

Perfect domain for any IT related company in a Spanish speaking country and one of the best CVCV.com’s around!

DATO means Data in Spanish, but to the hundreds of possible endusers around the world, DATO is so much more than a Spanish dictionary word. Can you say 80 million + Google results? How about literally hundreds of daily Wordtracker results which include the word “dato” in them?

DataRecovery.com recently sold for $1.7 MILLION dollars! Spanish is the MOST POPULAR foreign language in the United States and ranks THIRD Worldwide in Internet users.

We ask you this… What would Data.com go for? Pause. Think about that for a sec…
Then tell me how Dato.com isn’t one of not only the greatest spanish generics auctioned this year, but one of the greatest generics period. Worldwide Internet penetration continues to increase… This is a domain which will forever have value, forever be recognize as a Tier 1 Spanish domain, and continue to increase in value for many, many years to come.

Need I really say more? If I haven’t sold you on DATO yet, I don’t think you’ve been listening — or you clearly don’t understand THE BIGGEST OPPORTUNITY IN THIS CENTURY, which is premium foreign language domain names.

DATO is an incredibly strong CVCV that flows off the tongue like any True CVCV should. DATO is being offered to you with NO RESERVE. In short, this domain WILL SELL, regardless of what’s offered. Arguably The Strongest CVCV offered on Sedo EVER.

Compare this to VINO (wine in Italian) which received offers of $60,000 and DID NOT MEET THE RESERVE. We’re giving you a once in a lifetime chance to pick up a Tier 1 premium for pennies on the dollar… There might never be an opportunity like this again!

Compare to domains like:

POPA.com sold on Sedo $15000+
ZOYO.om sold on Sedo 6000EUR ($9000+)

… and I think you’ll feel as confident as me in saying that this is a 6 figure domain any day of the week to a Spanish enduser.

OOOM.com + BBBD.com + NNNM.com For $5500

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

This weeks bargain on DomainMagnate.com:

 OOOM.com + BBBD.com + NNNM.com For $5500

- Post sold in the comments to claim the domains
- payment accepted only by escrow.com or direct wire, buyer pays all fees.

This is a very solid investment and a great addition to any domain portfolio. Especially now when the prices for LLLL.com’s had dropped a bit.

4 letter domains like these with 3 repeating premium letters represent one of the most rare LLLL types and are a great collection item which value will only go up.

Frequency Analysis of Top LLLL.com Sales

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Letter quality brings up heated discussions every time on domaining forums and that’s not surprising since this is one of the top indicators for LLLL.com pricing.

In this post I’ve done some frequency analysis on the 200 top LLLL.com sales from last 4 months. These are all the reported sales above $2000 so it should shed more light on the subject.

As expected ‘q’ is the worst letter, but so is ‘j’ and ‘z’ is very close. The 4 premium vowels are the more popular letters and together make up almost 1/3 of all letters used there, so you better have one of them if you want your LLLL.com domain to sell for $2k+ .. can’t argue with the numbers ;)

And the results are..

a 9.25%
o 8.75%
e 7.00%
i 6.50%
s 6.13%
n 5.38%

Recent LLLL.com Sales Compilation - 4

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Here is the forth monthly Recent LLLL.com Sales compilation. LLLL.com’s are the most frequently traded domaining commodity on all forums and auctions and it’s thus crucial to be up to date with the quickly changing prices.

The list includes last 3-5 days of sales on different venues based on TDVR database

Many nice end user value sales on afternic this week. There is a growing demand on CVCV.com domains and it’s rare to see sales below $1k in this area, while the quality of cvcv’s being sold is lower. Premium cvcv are rarely put for sale.

Many bargains can still be found on different auction houses.

Fehu.com vs. Rihu.com

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

I was just checking the recent sales of cvcv.com at tdvr.com and noticed a strange thing.

rihu.com $1,566.00 Apr/16/08 04:00 PM EST Sedo
fehu.com $3,000.00 Apr/14/08 10:53 PM CEST Sedo

Both sold on sedo, same week, almost same letters and similar quality, yet such a big difference in price, why?

“Fehu” has 162K results in google and there is a developed site over at fehu.org, with alexa below 1 million, so it has some traffic. It also seems to have some mystical meaning, but that can hardly contribute much to a reseller price. (more…)

The Hidden Potential of CVCV.com

Friday, April 18th, 2008

visa_logo.jpgThis posts discusses the unique potential of the top quality CVCV.com names and provides valuable tips and updates on where to get them at bargain prices.

LLLL.com remains the most frequently traded type of domains between domainers on the forums and it’s thus important to know the prices and be aware of the market trends and potential.

High end 4L.com’s names, mostly cvcv.com had the highest increase as of lately and it’s not surprising. There are only 2500 quad premium (e.g. only containing the premium letters: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, O, P, R, S, T) CVCV.com domains (consonant, vowel, consonant, vowel, e.g. topa.com, dola.com, nama.com etc.). Out of these names containing H and F are lesser quality. Another 2100 cvcv domains consist of the above letters and one of: U, K; which are considered the best of the non premium letters. And add to these another 1500 domains including V, or W and some of the above mentioned letters. In my opinion these 2500+2100+1500 = 6100 names are the top of the creme 4 letter domains. Other letters: Z,X,Y,J,Q are usually harder to make a brand of and are less attractive to a western, English speaking person. (more…)
